In a rush for the perfect smile, you often forget about good quality routine dental care.  However, excellent routine dental care is paramount to great dental health and all-around general health, too. Our approach is focused on the prevention of disease. And we believe maintaining oral health includes excellent home care and regular visits to our office for preventive care, including oral examinations, cleanings, and dental sealants. Even if you take good care of your teeth, teeth and gums can still be susceptible to infection, disease, cavities, or other forms of damage.

Plus, there are numerous links between dental disease and medical problems, such as the correlation between gum disease and heart disease, and diabetes. Tooth grinding is also often associated with snoring and sleep apnea, and malocclusion (poor bite) often results in tension headaches, neck and back pain, and migraine headaches.The mouth is also the gateway to the digestive system and lungs. Many diseases of the nose and throat, the gut and ear, and sinuses originate from the mouth. Regular comprehensive dental checkups screen for all these conditions and, most importantly, for any signs detected early, along with malignant changes in the mouth.  With routine dentistry, potentially fatal mouth cancers can also be detected and referred for urgent care immediately. It minimizes the risk to health and life itself.
